On Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, members of American Legion Post 738 Family offered memorial Poppies at the Fairview Park Giant Eagle and the North Olmsted Tractor Supply.
We would like to thank the Fairview Park Giant Eagle, the North Olmsted Tractor Supply, and the generous citizens of Fairview Park and North Olmsted for their donations.
Over $2500 was raised to support local Veterans and their families.
All donated monies will be used by Fairview Park American Legion Post 738 solely to assist and support local Veterans.
The weather on Memorial Day a little cold but dry and the sun was out. Thanks to all who marched in the parade and those that lined the street to watch. Congratulations to the 6 scholarship winners: Natalie Lowry, Jackson Babitsky, Noah Beach, Abigail Castrilla, Margaret Bryant, and Lilly Thompson. We wish them much success as they start their college careers.
A special thank you to Mayor Bill Schneider, the Fairview Park Police Department, and the Fairview Park Building Department.
Our Post led the 2024 Fairview Summerfest parade!

On Veteran's Day, November 11th, Post 738 conducted a flag raising and visitation at Gilles-Sweet Elementary School. We had the privilege of meeting and talking with the students and faculty. The students had prepared letters and Flag drawings for us and we had a QA session with them.
We also visited the Veterans residing at the O'Neill's Health Care Centers in Fairview Park and North Olmsted.
